The search is on far and wide for the much loved doll affectionately known as Squishy.

The Cutchins family recently visited Port Douglas, all the way from Abu Dhabi UAE, as part of their long anticipated holiday to Australia in July and early August.

During their stay they travelled by camper van from Port Douglas to Brisbane.  At some time during their journey they realized that their 11 year old daughter Beatrice had lost her beloved doll “Squishy” somewhere along their route.

“After culling our receipts and itinerary, I have called and emailed over 40 petrol stations, campgrounds, companies, and grocery stores along our route, to no avail.

“She is about 20cm tall, with a soft body and solid face and hands.  She is pink, wearing a dress and bonnet.  Squishy is Beatrice's nighttime companion, and is dearly missed.,” said father Doug Cutchins

Mossman Gorge Centre BDM Marian McLeod has also responded to the “call out to search for lost Squishy” and the staff have scoured the bushes and the 250 space car park without any luck and nothing has been handed into their Lost & Found. “We shall be hoping and shall keep the search going with other Tourism partners!” said Marian.

“We found Australians to be remarkably kind and generous throughout our trip, and hope that someone out there might be able to help us get Squishy home to us.  If anyone has any idea where she is, I would appreciate it if they would contact me on doug.cutchins@gmail.com,” said Doug.

If anyone has seen or knows the whereabouts of lost Squishy we would be interested in knowing.  Please don’t hesitate to contact Doug Cutchins directly as well.
