Imagine galloping along a piece of pristine coastline of the Coral Coast, wind in your face, hair blowing in the breeze, gentle waves lapping at the shore and a magnificent sunrise in the background.  

Sounds like something from a Romance Novel. However, you will be excited to know that this scene, all be it not so romanticised, was part of the Port Douglas Beach Picnic Races TV Commercial that was filmed last Thursday on Port Douglas Four Mile Beach, which will be the backdrop for the upcoming Port Douglas Beach Picnic Races on 8th August.

Port Douglas Beach Picnic Races organiser Katrina Kruse said the TVC’s first draft is ready for proof. They have also prepared GoPro footage documenting the making of the commercial. In fact Katrina also had to wave frantically to warn unsuspecting joggers wearing headphones on the beach that day that there was going to be an Irish Sport Horse mare named Asha with rider Sophie Hormann galloping down the beach.  

They were closely followed by a cameraman and TVC producer Andre in a Ute driven by Camera Vehicle driver Glen capturing the footage. The TVC is set to air on WIN TV and GO Cairns very shortly and the GoPro footage will be launched thereafter on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Port-Douglas-Beach-Picnic-Races/1653781991523291 and the radio campaign is scheduled for next week.

So keep your eyes and ears open for some amazing TVC footage of the breathtaking Four Mile Beach at sunrise featuring Sophie Hormann and Irish Sport Horse mare Asha and event information leading up to the Port Douglas Beach Picnic Races.
