Two Bio Security officers from the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries visited Paws and Claws animal shelter yesterday lunchtime following a complaint.

The complaint was aledgedly about the the condition of the animalas and the environment.

Paws and Claws have been running their shelter for 20 years, received a call informing them of an inspection within the hour.

President Michael Kerr said " I gave a full guided tour of our excellent facility".
For dogs staying at the shelter, Michael said "its a comfort zone, it has a wall, fence and a roof" adding, that all the dogs had been vaccinated, flee treated, wormed, fed, walked, were dry and most importantly, loved.

Michael was undeterred by the visit because he said they conform to all the hygeine standards.  "Its to our benefit that harassment complaints have been made to the facility and documented" he said.

Following the inspection Micheal said the bio-security officers informed him "there was nothing wrong with the facility".
