2 Fish Restaurant in Port Douglas celebrated its first anniversary at Coconut Grove on Sunday night.
The restaurant moved to its new venue at Coconut Grove on Macrossan Street after having initially opened on Wharf Street in 2003.
After 10 successful years at Wharf Street the decision was taken to relocate the restaurant to the other end of town at Coconut Grove on Macrossan Street. The move has proved successful and allowed 2 Fish to build on its award-winning menu and expand into a spacious new venue, featuring industrial inspired design and exciting contemporary art works.
The new venue has allowed 2 Fish to further build on its group function and wedding packages, after hiring a dedicated wedding planner and stylist.
2 Fish menus explore Australian contemporary seafood cuisine, showcasing Tropical North Queensland produce.
Sunday night’s celebration with a champagne and a themed cake from Passion for Cakes. General Manager Jeff Gale to celebrated with his staff and thanked them for their work in making the move to Coconut Grove a successful one.
Mr Gale said the move was a risky decision that had paid off in the end.
“It was a huge decision and a big move,” he said.
“But since moving we’ve never looked back and look forward to continuing for many years to deliver our innovative take on seafood to both tourists and locals, all of whom we thank wholeheartedly for their continuing support.”
