The Port Douglas Community Kindergarten will host a fundrasing movie night at Moonlight Cinema on Saturday. 

Gates to the event open at 4:00pm, with jumping castles, facepainting and glowstick sales to keep kids entertained before animated family movie Rio 2 is shown at 6:30pm. 

Funds raised will go toward offsetting costs for the kindergarten. 

Kindergarten management committee president Michelle Vladich said the kindy had a fundraising target of $10,000 this year, which the movie night would go a long way toward helping them reach.

“Last year we raised about $1600 from the movie night, it was a sold out session,” she said. 

“We’re hoping for the same amount of people coming to see the movie this year as well.

“Moonlight Cinema have been great in helping us do this and very supportive.”

The night will also feature a lucky door prize. 

All members of the community are invited. 

This is the third year of collaboration between Port Douglas Community Kindergarten and the Moonlight Cinema, which is hosted by QT Port Douglas.
