Mossman Golf Club is enjoying perfect weather and one member inadvertently tested the pond on 16, his companions are suggesting he host some swimming lessons.

The great weather on Sunday 15 June helped one of our young members to achieve a hole-in-one on the 170m par 3 hole 17.   

His “Ace“ was documented with a photo with proud Dad Russell Hore, Wayne Baxter and Zach Hore with his lucky ball.

Tuesday 10 June:  Winner was Bruce Cheesman with 41 points ahead of Peter Hornsby 39 and Alec Ford 36.

NTP’s – Steve Warden, N  Roylance & Ian Johnson.

Wednesday’s Sporters 9 hole event was won by Shona Barbour with 19 points.

NTP’s – Max Bignell & John Cameron.

Thursday’s Ladies event was won by Shona Barbour with 33 points on a count-back to Lyn Heimann and in 3rd place Jo Constantine 32 on a count-back to Shirley Carney.

NTP’s –Lucy Giles, Julie Hooker & Margery Boyce.

On Black Friday, Brendon Wood won with 17 points.

Saturday 14 June: John Ziegler won with 43 points on a count-back to Dan Hober ahead of Wayne Dowell 40.

NTP’s – John Norris, Mick Lancaster & Graham Cook.

In the Ladies event, Glenda Christensen won with 37 points ahead of Shirley Carney 36.  NTP’s – Shirley Carney, Tracey Benham & Judy McCormack.

Tuesday 17 June: The event was a 4BBB with winners A. Dear & George Macri with 43 points haead of Alec Ford & John Leigh with 42 on a count-back to Brett Jurie & Dan Hober.

NTP’s – Cameron Walton, Ralf Middel & Ian Prewett.

Wednesday’s Sporters 9 hole event was won by Helen Gabour with 22 points ahead of  Barry Costain 21.

NTP – Helen Gabour, Dennis Blake & Lucy Giles.

On Thursday 19 June, the field included 13 New Zealand players “Mrs Brown’s Girls”, who are enjoying a golf trip, with several taking home prizes.

Winner V. Ferguson (NZ) with 35 points on a count-back to Maureen Everett and in 3rd place Tracey Benham.  

NTP’s – Bronwyn Flannery, Helen Gabour and Tricia Landy.

On Friday 20 June, Lisa Smith was victorious with 19 points.

Saturday 21 June: Division I was won by Charlie Kadic with 38 points on a count-back to Steve Symonds.  Division II was won by Des Landy with 40 points ahead of Bill Allison 38.

In the Ladies event, Jenny Rowell won with 35 points ahead of Julie Hooker 34 and Jo Constantine 33.

Nominations are now being accepted for the FNQ Championships being hosted by Mossman  on 5 & 6 July 2014.

Club Championships are now to be held on 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th August 2014.
