Rasa Restaurant & Lounge played host to modéle 14, last Tuesday night. A spectacular night of glamour and style.  modéle 14, has certainly cemented itself as the Port Douglas Fashion Event of the year.

Situated within the grounds of the opulent Niramaya Villa & Spa, Rasa hosted a full house of ladies and gents eager to see the best of local fashions.  Guests were treated to delicious canapés and champagne on arrival before the main event; an amazing fashion show where eleven talented and gorgeous local models presented designs by  Rose & Boy, Barbarella & Swan, Sand Salt Sun, Just Jeans, Raa & The Temple, Love Lulu, Minx & Pearl and Melanie Ferrero Millinery.

For the second year in a row guests were spoilt with modéle 14 gift bags filled with over $100 worth of exclusive goodies.  The gift bags included an abundance of skin care products, gift vouchers, and lollies, which were all supplied by stores on the catwalk, sponsors & businesses in the Port Douglas “beauty and fashion world.”

Event organizers, Annetta Tantanis & Claire Tierney, were thrilled with the success of their event and can’t wait to return next year for modéle 15. “The feedback we have been receiving is all very positive and guests were delighted with the fashion, location and of course their gift bags!”

“modéle 14 was created with all types of fashion retailers in mind.  This year included two online locally run businesses and we were thrilled to welcome a Palm Cove store to the catwalk!”

Seven Best Dressed awards were presented on the night to some of the most stylish ladies (and one lucky man!) in the audience.

“We would like to thank our official sponsors; Port Douglas Magazine, Jennifer Campbell for Hair, Designer Portraiture Australia Photography, Floral Edge, Letters 2 U and Rasa & Niramaya for hosting our event.  Without their support our event wouldn’t be as successful as it was.”

“A special thank you to Natalie Johnson our ever vibrant MC and our special opening guest, the hilarious and one and only, Miss K.

modéle 14 was a “Sell Out” before Port Douglas Carnival kicked off on Friday, affirming that modele 15, next year, will be a must see event and event organizers encourage everyone to get in early next year to avoid disappointment.

It will once again be the Fashion Event of the year so lock it in your calendar for 2015!
