Men's Results

B Carney, L Valentine and D Egan progressed thru in the club selected threes championship after a win over G Wilmot. P Gorsuch and N Tesch 24-19 on Saturday.

In Social bowls, T Pisot, G Marsh and E Smith def. M Morrison C Johnson and Doug Pitt 25-22, T Holmes, G Bolton and Kiwi def. P Liddle, R Edwards and B Gard 24-17, and the big winners were A Douglas, Dick Pitt and C Maxted who defeated J Murray, J Bremmer and D Blain 34-14.

On Sunday George Wilmot defeated J Cook in B grade singles while in handicap singles E Smith defeated D Blain.

In addition to social bowls next Saturday commencing at 1:00pm. fours competition will continue with C Andreassen, R North, N Tesch and R Ashford to play Zilly, B Carney and two mystery players. On Sunday A grade competition commences at 9:00am with E Smith to play D Egan, and D Blain to play B Wolland.

Saturday the 24th will be the annual John Hocking Memorial day. The social men’s bowling afternoon is open to all who wish to participate in this very popular and enjoyable event. Registration is essential owing to the popularity of the event and can be made in person or by ringing the club in 4098 1434. 

Ladies Results

Twenty four ladies bowled last Thursday and the winners were Maureen Tucker, Barbara May and Toni Dowdle (2w+17). Second were Jan Gard, Maureen Johnson and Margaret Cooper (2w+16). Val Franzi was the lucky raffle winner. 

Consistency continues with Bev Zillfleisch verses Maree Crees with Joan Day marker, Carole Maxted verses Val Robinson with marker Maria Mijo. Good bowling to our second division ladies in the Pennant.
