Men's Results

Pairs competition continued on Saturday with last year’s champs Kiwi and G Mclean narrowly defeating P Gorsuch and T Brylack 20-17 while Rangi and D Egan def. B Wild and B Wolland 19-11.

In social bowls, J Cook and R North def. M Boundy and C Maxted 19-18, A Douglas, B Kearney and G Blum def. Hock Jnr, J Bremmer and D Blain 19-14, G Bolton, G Wilmot and D Pitt def. D Wilde, Zilly and N Tesch 20-13, G Marsh, Dick Pitt and R Gard def. T Holmes, Swampy and R Edwards 24-16.

Handicap championships on Sunday saw R North defeat P Cleary while R Edwards defeated the reigning champion B Wolland.

Next Saturday club selected threes championship competition will see G Wilmot, P Gorsuch and N Tesch play B Carney, L Valentine and D Egan, and on Sunday B Grade  championship continues with G Wilmot to play J Cook and in handicap singles E Smith will play D Blain.

Ladies Results

Consistency continues with two games being played. Carole Maxted (152) defeated Margaret Cooper (118) and Val Robinson (153) defeated Maria Mijo (104).

Seventeen ladies enjoyed social bowls and the winners were Denise Highland, Glenn Lepp and Betty McClelland (+13). Val Sharpe won the raffle.

Thursday (8th May) is meeting day at 10am. Selectors for May are Kaye Dean and Margaret Cooper.
