Mossman writer up for national poetry comp prize
Mossman writer, Helen Ramoutsaki, has been nominated for the chance to win a national poetry award.
Ms Ramoutsaki was advised at the weekend on the way to the Wallaby Creek Festival that she had been nominated as a wildcard entrant in ABC Radio National’s Australia Poetry Slam national finals, and could be performing, along with the State finalists, on Sunday October 13 at Sydney Opera House.
Helen is one of is one of six finalists with her poem, Not in my Backyard,
and votes are needed by this Wednesday, October 2, at 5pm to get her through.
More than 200 entries were received.
