The school gates opened and there was lots of noise of children reuniting with friends and teachers, all ready to embark on another year of discovery and growth. 

Parents waved goodbye with a mix of pride and nostalgia, knowing that their little ones were taking important steps in their educational journey, particularly the Prep students. 

Teachers were excited for the first day back with the return of routine and looking forward to celebrating the learning. 

“The start of the school year is always special and one of my favourite days of the year," says Mrs Bennett, Principal of St Augustine's Primary.

“We want our students to feel excited about what lies ahead and to know that we are here to support them every step of the way.”

One of the most heartwarming sights is the enthusiasm of the students themselves. From eager questions to animated discussions, their readiness to learn shines through. 

Whether it's mastering new math skills, diving into reading adventures, exploring scientific wonders, learning music or how to speak in Italian, the students are more than ready to tackle the challenges ahead. 

The Year 6 buddies have loved their role of being leaders and have embraced nurturing our little people. Behind every eager student at Saint’s. There is a network of support: families, teachers, and the community come together to create an environment where young learners can thrive. 

As the school year has kicked off, the spirit of curiosity and engagement is stronger than ever.
