Woman found dead in waters off Buchans Point Beach after walk along Palm Cove jetty

A woman has been found dead after allegedly entering the water off Palm Cove Jetty and failing to resurface overnight.
Police confirmed they were called to the jetty at 2.25am and shortly after Water Police, Surf Life Saving and local police commenced a search operation in the area.
At around 7.15am this morning Surf Life Saving Queensland volunteers located the body of a woman in waters off Buchans Point beach.
Investigations remain ongoing, however the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
