NEWSPORT NEWSFEED: Investigations drive theory Dinghy is in Airlie Beach

Events in the days leading to the November 10 disappearance of Dinghy the blue heeler pup from Port Douglas Yacht Club have fuelled owner Gallagher Harbisher Thomson to turn his attention 700km south to Airlie Beach in his search for the 12-week-old pup.
Gallagher believes a person he and his father had an interaction with, which prompted an unsuccessful call to police for their intervention, may be linked to Dinghy’s disappearance.
Gallagher was in hospital at the time Dinghy disappeared from being tied on the deck of a boat at the Yacht Club, sometime between 3.40am and 5am on Sunday, November 10.
It is believed the man who had a non-violent interaction with the dog owners who had tried to provide him with assistance before making a welfare call to police - who did not respond - lives in the Airlie Beach area.
That man is understood to have left Port Douglas soon after Dinghy went missing.
Thousands of people have read the story of Dinghy since Newsport’s first report on Sunday night and it has been shared by more than 100 people as we call for widespread help to find Dinghy.

Dozens don't wait for Donuts
One hundred free donuts were snapped up in Mossman today to promote Douglas Shire Council's cyclone season preparedness message, "Don't Wait Until It's Too Late".
The promotion was a joint initiative between Council and iconic Mossman business Duke's.
To receive a free donut, people were required to answer the question, "How many litres of water per person should you pack as part of your emergency kit?"
The DO NOT WAIT donuts went very quickly today and the Local Disaster Management Group hopes it gets people thinking about their emergency kits.
Douglas Shire Council has moved to allay community fears of a loss of trees at the site of the new $3.3m splash park, saying 11 have been “strategically selected” to be removed and more will be planted once construction ends. FULL STORY
