The Port Douglas Crocs Under 13s are into the big dance after a gutsy win against the Manunda Hawks at Cazalys Stadium yesterday.

Down at three quarter time, the team came out firing in the last quarter, leaving it all on the line and coming out with a victorious 9 point win. The leaders took to Facebook to express their pride and excitement for the team saying “ It was our determination across the ground that was the difference in the end.”

The boys will take on the South Cairns Cutters in the Grand Final match at Cazalys Stadium next Sunday August 25th.

Meanwhile, as September draws ever closer, the Crocs seniors mens side are beginning to shift their attention to the looming Finals Series. 

Currently sitting in third position on the ladder, the Crocs have some work to do in the remaining two games of the Home and Away season if they want to secure the benefit of a second chance crack at the Grand Final.

The Crocs are no strangers to a Grand Final match, having won seven in the last ten years, including last year’s match against the Cairns Saints, however, this year, with a long list of quality players on the injury list, the Crocs could be watching from the sidelines come September 21st..

The Crocs took full advantage of the bye this week to rest, recover and reevaluate in order to come into the last games with the ferocity they need to claw their way back to the top.
