Oaks Port Douglas Resort set to make locals' dreams come true this Christmas

Believe it or not, the festive season is fast approaching and Oaks Port Douglas Resort is celebrating by making one lucky locals’ Christmas dream come true.
Starting from 1 November 2023, the resort’s in-house restaurant, Oak and Vine, is giving every diner the opportunity to create a Christmas wish list, with one special child having their dream fulfilled, up to the value of $500.
The ’Win Your Wish’ promotion is a new initiative brought in by General Manager, Paul Parrant, as a way to give back to the local community and endorses his mission to create a new, versatile venue for locals.
“I’ve run something similar in the past and really it’s a way for us to say thank you to our regulars and give back to them, especially during a time that can be tough for some,” he said.
The rules are simple: Dine at Oak and Vine between November 1 and December 15, fill in your wish list and post it off to Santa – that’s it! And the best part? The more you visit, the more chances you have to win but keep in mind entries are limited to one per person per day.
Christmas feast extravaganza
The ‘Win Your Wish’ campaign is just the beginning of Oaks Port Douglas Resort’s Christmas cheer with the resort also hosting its annual Christmas Day lunch.
Starring a mouth-watering seafood buffet alongside all of your favourite holiday dishes, the lunch has been a sell-out event in years past as more and more people opt to skip the hassle of cooking and instead enjoy a nice day out.
Plus, if the seafood buffet wasn’t enticing enough, Oaks Port Douglas Resort will gift each guest with a discount booklet filled with specials and savings that can be redeemed throughout the new year as a way to say thank you and Merry Christmas.
Mr Parrant said the Christmas festivities are all part of his plan to revitalise the essence of the resort. “My idea when I stepped into this role was to open the space up to locals and bring a bit of variety to the area, so I hope this encourages the locals to come and see what we’re all about.”
