Just weeks' after closing its Wildlife Dome the CaPTA Group has confirmed it will unveil a new Cairns based attraction in the new year.
The new Cairns Pier based attraction will be a family and education-focused experience and promises take guests on an immersive journey spanning from the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef to the rugged beauty of the Australian outback.
The attraction will aim to combine family entertainment with environmental education, but eager visitors won't have to wait until the grand opening, with a sneak peek having already opened this week - project completion is due for March next year.
The first unveiled section of the attraction, the woodlands exhibit will showcase Australia's unique woodland creatures and brings attention to the challenges they face in their natural habitats.
Guests can engage with koalas LuLu, Pavlova, and Nellie, who have recently relocated from the beloved Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome.
CaPTA Group Attractions general manager Andrew Hearn said they are thrilled to be working with Pier Cairns to provide visitors with a conveniently located wildlife experience.
"The woodlands exhibit is just the beginning of our commitment to delivering an immersive journey that combines family entertainment with environmental education,” he said.
“Cairns visitors can expect a unique blend of excitement and insight as we unveil the full attraction in late March 2024."
