Pulsating Crocs ambush Lions in stunning one-sided grand final rematch

In one of the club's best ever performances Port Douglas Crocs sent a huge message to the rest of the competition after completely dismantling defending premiers Cairns City Lions in their round four clash at Holloways Beach this afternoon.
In a total ambush of the Lions, the Crocs totally dominated the grand final rematch to win 18-16-124 to 5-5-35.
The 89-point win was one thing, but it’s the style and manner in which the Crocs dominated the Lions over four quarters of footy that would have impressed player coach Jared Petrenko the most.
A combination of elite, relentless pressure around the contest, excellent rebound off halfback and pinpoint execution all over the ground proved too much for a Lions team that included ex AFL player Steven Motlop.
The Crocs jumped the Lions 30-4 in the first quarter and the match was as good as over at the main break with the Crocs leading 55-11.
The Lions first goal only came at the 20-minute mark of the second quarter.
Suffering their worst loss in recent memory the Lions had no answer as the Crocs kicked on to lead 95-17 by three quarter time.
The rot continued in the last as the unbeaten Crocs completed an absolute rout of the home side.
