VIDEO: BLOOD, SWEAT and TEARS: Dream turns into reality for chocolate shop owners
ALL SMILES

It’s been a long time coming but one of the most anticipated new attractions in the Douglas shire opened its doors to much awaited fanfare this morning.
After frustrating delays in recent weeks that included finalising EFTPOS and point of sale system issues The Australian Chocolate Farm finally welcomed paying guests who immediately indulged in delectable chocolate offerings that were home-made right here in the Douglas Shire.
Today’s opening was the culmination of a dream come true for owners Jenny and Darryl Kirk who have toiled hard in recent years to make today’s opening a hard-earned reality.
"We're both over the moon that we're finally at the point where we've opened the doors," an excited Jenny told Newsport this morning.
"It's taken a lot of hard work to get here, but we're really proud, we now welcome everyone to stop by and check it out for themselves."
The chocolate farm offers morning tea, lunches, chocolate sales, souvenirs and afternoon tea.
Official tours of the chocolate farm start on June 14. The chocolate farm is located at 78 Mountainview Drive, Shannonvale.
The chocolate farm is open Wednesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Bookings for the tours can be made online at theaustralianchocolatefarm.com.au.
