Newell Beach ‘indecent act’ alleged offender charged, Douglas and Mossman crime spree duo nabbed

A 54 year-old man has booked a court appearance in the coming weeks after being charged in relation to an alleged incident in the vicinity of a Newell Beach horse stable a short time ago.
Mossman Police Officer-in-Charge and Sergeant Matthew Smith confirmed with Newsport the male was charged with alleged performing an “indecent act and trespass offences”.
The man was released on bail and will appear in Mossman Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August, 23.
Meantime, local Police confirmed a 19-year-old Mossman man and a 13-year-old Mossman boy have both been charged after committing a number of alleged break ins across Mossman and Port Douglas over the past few weeks.
Police arrested the pair at a Cairns shopping centre at around 12pm yesterday.
Police said the 19-year-old man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling, attempted enter dwelling, unlawful use of motor vehicle and possession of suspected stolen property.
The 19-year-old will appear in Cairns Magistrates court today.
The 13-year-old boy has been charged with three counts of enter dwelling and one count each of attempted entry, stealing, unlawful use of motor vehicle, receiving tainted property and possess dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear at Cairns Childrens Court.
