“At this time of the year dingoes all over the country, including the Douglas Shire are pregnant or starting to have their litters,” resident Douglas Shire dingo expert Luke Cooper, who has been involved in a number of dingo related studies, explained to Newsport.

“Dingoes are naturally lean and during certain times of the year can be leaner - this is natural.

“Do not feed them, they know how to find food and play a vital role in our many eco-systems.

“They only eat when they really need to, their diet also include insects and various plant matter.

“These are all very healthy happy wild Dingoes living their best lives in the bush in the Port Douglas region.”
