MYSTERY DEEPENS: SES volunteers comb Four Mile beach for further evidence following strange discovery

Mystery has deepened surrounding a search conducted on Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas on Saturday.
More than 11 SES volunteers working together in a direct line were spotted combing the sand for what a local law enforcement official said was “any further evidence” after a bone – yet to be positively identified, or confirmed as human, was discovered on the beach.
“A bone was found on the beach the other day which had obviously been exposed to the elements for quite some time, yet to be positively identified as human. A search of the area is being conducted in order to locate any further evidence,” Port Douglas Officer-in-Charge and Detective Sergeant Damian Meadows who is on extended leave, remarked on social media on Saturday afternoon.
“The search was (standard Police routine). Let them do what has to be done and then you can all have the beach back.”
On Saturday Newsport reached out to Queensland Police Service about the search in which we were told there was a “training operation” happening at Four Mile beach, and that they were unaware of any search taking place for further bones.
