THUNDAMENTALS FEAT HORRORSHOW AT THE TANKS

Cairns Summer Sounds 2023 is kicking off the summer season with what will be a legendary hip-hop night.

The Blue Mountains-bred hip hop group, Thundamentals, has become one of the top rap/hip-hop artists in the 2023 music scene, delighting fans with a unique sound.

Being one of Australia’s most exciting and powerful live acts, Thundas will be raising the roof of the Tanks Arts Centre with their brand-new album ‘All This Life’.

The hip-hop act will be joined and supported by special guest and lead vocalist of Horrorshow; MC Solo.

WINE TASTING AT THE SUN BAR CAIRNS

The latest addition to the Cairns bar scene is the Sunset Bar, located near the Boatshed.

The brand new bar only opened a few weeks ago by the owner of the Conservatory Bar and the Sunroom at Port Douglas and is now hosting its first wine tasting of the year.

Expect all organic, minimal intervention wines and undisrupted views of Cairns' picturesque sunset.

REGGAE, ROCK N FUNK AT ELIXIR MUSIC HOUSE

Reggae, Rock and so much fun it's hard to believe it's all legal.

Cairns Cover and Blues Band ‘No More No Less’ will delight the crowd with good time reggae, funk and rock dance music.

Enjoy the set with a burger in your hand from Watty’s Stack Catering Cairns, who will be providing the treats on the night.

I AM WHO I WAS WHEN I WAS TEN - COURT HOUSE ART GALLERY

Making art as if you were ten again. As you get older, fewer and fewer things seem new to you - except in art. Making art is a challenge that never gives way and never runs out of things to discover.

This exhibition celebrates the accelerating development of practice that can occur in artists after a long life of concentrating on other things. Each of the seven artists featured in this exhibition is finding life renewed by art.
