A four-year-old girl was treated by ambulance paramedics after being stung by a suspected Irukandji jellyfish while in the water at Trinity Beach last night.
The Queensland Ambulance Service said the girl was taken by ambulance in a stable condition to Cairns Hospital for further check-up and possible treatment, after being stung at around 6.30pm.
A spokesman for CHHHS said the girl was discharged from the hospital later on last night.
