UPDATE 11.04am: A spokesperson has just confirmed the ferry is now "operational again" and has thanked the public for their understanding.

EARLIER : Just hours after being back operational after the heavy rain across the Shire the much maligned Daintree Ferry is again out of action - albeit temporarily.
Just moments ago a spokeperson for the Ferry explained the circumstances behind services across the river being put on hold for the moment.
"Due to the current king tide ferry services have been temporarily suspended," the statement read.
"We will share another update at 11am.
"We apologise for the inconvenience."
