A woman in the Douglas Shire who was on the end of an extremely kind gesture is currently on the hunt for the very kind duo who ended up personally dropping off her extremely precious cargo – some misplaced suitcases.

After witnessing a shuttle driver accidentally and inadvertently drop the bags off at the wrong end destination the woman said the good samaritans somehow identified the problem, collected her cases and then went above and beyond – by tailing her shuttle bus ride to her final location in order to reconnect her, with her luggage.

The woman said she was beyond grateful for the gesture that occured on Wednesday, August 9 and despite the quick thanks at the time, she still wants to properly show her gratitude by buying them a beer in person.

“We were standing in the middle of the street questioning the shuttle driver (where our bags were) when a gentleman and his wife appeared from nowhere to ask, ‘is this yours’?,” the woman explained.

“The man then produced the case from the back end of their 4WD.

“They had obviously seen what happened, collected the suitcase and followed the shuttle.

“We were both so shocked and overwhelmed that we didn’t get their details.

“All I know is he wore a uniform with “Eco” on it.

“If you’re out there let me know as I owe you a beer. It’s not often in this crazy world of ours that you encounter such a good deed.”

Over to you Port Douglas and the Douglas Shire - do you know the man (or woman) in question who works in the area who may dress in a shirt with “Eco” on it who deserves to be identified and praised for this kind gesture?
