More than 100 participants joined together to enthusiastically and very generously support the latest Paws and Claws trivia fundraiser at the Central Hotel.

A whopping $4,800 was raised on the night for the local animal welfare organisation.

This included one single heartfelt donation of $1,000, making this one of the most successful fundraisers in the organisation's history.

“Pussy Galore” finished the night on top with 46.5 points ahead of “Mossy Hossy” 43.5 points, “The Sylvesters”, 43.5 points and “Let’s Raise the Woof”, 42 points.

The success of the event was further bolstered by The Central Hotel, which contributed a very generous $500 to the cause.

Additionally, numerous companies stepped up to support the fundraiser by donating an array of exciting prizes, although the list of donors was so extensive that it was impossible to mention each one individually.

Remarkably, this was the ninth KStar Trivia Fundraiser of the year, and the response from the community has been overwhelming throughout.

Split between The Central Hotel and Mossman Bowls Club, the series of events has already raised over $25,000, effectively supporting various charitable organizations.

The upcoming fundraisers will continue this noble tradition, with the next two events earmarked for K.I.N.D (Kids in Need Donations) and Mossman Hospital, respectively.

Since its inception a decade ago, the KStar Trivia Fundraisers have demonstrated a consistent commitment to giving back to the community.

Having collectively raised over a quarter-million dollars for approximately 50 different local not-for-profit organizations, the fundraisers have proven to be a driving force in making a tangible impact on the lives of countless individuals and animals in need.
