In tough windy conditons kids under eight years-old and even participants over 70 showcased their water skills at the recent Port Douglas Surf Lifesaving Club carnivale.

The carnivale brought together participants from North Queensland Clubs to test their life-saving skills both on the beach and in the water.

The Carnivale featured a variety of events and disciplines, including surf swim, beach sprint, and beach and ski relays.

Find below a photo gallery capturing the exciting moments and determined efforts of these aspiring lifesavers during the event.
