Fascinating guests endear themselves to Douglas Shire dingo enthusiasts

Some wandering guests have endeared themselves to Douglas Shire residents with several locals having described recent encounters with none other than tropical dingoes across our beautiful region.
Luke Cooper who knows all things dingoes noted on social media a short time ago that its currently dingo breeding season, and therefore “ a great time to see our tropical dingoes on the move”.
Mr Cooper was also quick to dispel a myth about general dingo behaviour.
“I often photograph them and have noticed they are in fact very shy,” he explained.
“They have been here for thousands of years and like any wild animal they should just be admired.
“They are generally not aggressive. Most people do not see them and it’s rare for them to chase or even engage with you.”
One local noted she saw one near Junction Bridge a few days ago while another resident said Miallo is potentially another area others have been spotted poking about in recent times.
