AFTER a season of dominance that includes winning their past 14 matches, Mossman Port Douglas Sharks are just 80 minutes away from securing a CDRL first grade grand final appearance.

However, the side’s tremendous unbeaten record to date will count for nothing on Sunday afternoon if they can’t overcome a Brothers’ outfit that proved too strong for Innisfail in their qualifying final last weekend.

The Sharks have beaten Brothers both times this season, 20-14 in round four at Mossman and 40-34 in Cairns.

A big contingent of Mossman supporters are expected to make their way to Barlow Park for the clash.

Meantime, another iconic local footy team, the Crocs, are also looking to book their ticket to the big dance tomorrow when they clash with Saints at Watsons Oval from 3pm.

The preliminary final winner will move on to a grand final match up with Lions, who proved too strong last weekend for the Saints.

The Saints beat the Crocs last time they played.

Lastly, in local football action Douglas Dragons face the Mareeba Bulls tonight in their first division semi-final at Port Douglas Sports Complex from 7.30pm.

The winner will book a berth in the upcoming grand final.
