The man renowned as one of the most successful country footy coaches in Australia has stepped after 10 years at the helm of the mighty Port Douglas Crocs.

Brad Cooper is revered in Far North Queensland having coached the all conquering Crocs to six premierships in eight years, including five straight premierships between 2016-2020.

Cooper just fell short of coaching the powerhouse club to another title this year after his team was beaten by Cairns City Lions in the AFL Cairns decider just weeks ago at Cazalys.

“It has been my privilege and honour to have been senior coach of the Crocs for this time,” Cooper said.

“Success comes with hard work and loyalty so to those that have helped in whatever capacity I am eternally thankful as over this time we have made lifelong memories and friendships.”

Crocs president Barry Lea said Cooper’s legacy at the club will be felt for many years to come.
