This hidden beach is just as pretty as the name suggests

A stunning secluded beach
Of course we have the most beautiful beach in Port Douglas itself; our stunning Four Mile Beach - we definitely won’t argue that. But there are many more special beaches around and there might be a chance you haven’t discovered this beauty yet.
Just the name of this beach already puts up high expectations, but we can assure you: Pretty Beach is just as pretty as the name suggests - and maybe even prettier.
Go there on a sunny day and the contrasting bright colours of the yellow sand and big grey rocks will melt perfectly with the blue of the ocean and the sky.
How to get there
It takes some effort to find this totally unspoilt tropical paradise but that might also be part of the beauty of this secluded beach.
Just a short 15 minute drive south of Port Douglas, Pretty Beach is situated along the Captain Cook Highway, 1,6 kilometres south of Oak Beach.
When driving on the highway, you’ll have to pull over shortly after a bend into an unpaved road shoulder. Just keep on driving and you’ll get to an open space where you can park your car.
Follow a small path that leads you through the bush for about 100 metres and you’ll be welcomed by two perfectly framed towering palms with a glistening beach in the background.
