Daintree favourite doing the Turtle Rock as business bounces back post COVID pandemic

BUSINESS BOUNCES BACK

Like many local businesses it faced gigantic struggles during the heart of the pandemic but now a renowned little hub in Cape Tribulation is back and bustling once again.
Long a sight for sore eyes travellers making their way by road through the Daintree Turtle Rock Café and bar has served countless patrons over the years.
It also doubles as the check in area for the adjoining Safari Lodge and Ocean Safari reef experiences.
“During the middle of COVID there wasn’t a sole in sight at the Café,” café manager Clementine Atzanazio explained.
“However, the past six months we have been super busy, in fact we’re probably busier now than we’ve ever been, which is amazing.”
And the best part about their strong café numbers? – local patronage.
“We’ve definitely seen an increase in Cairns locals doing day trips up here, or even spending the night at Cape Tribulation which has been fantastic,” she said.
“We’ve also had lots of Queenslanders in general stopping by and enjoying things up here as well.
“It’s just great to see this beautiful area being utilised and full of people.”
