A man has been served with a Notice to Appear in Mossman Magistrates’ court mid next month for assault and contravene equipment.

The notice comes after Police were forced to intervene following alleged recent poor behaviour by the alleged offender at a number of local establishments in Port Douglas.

“An unruly wedding guest at the weekend caused a number of separate incidents on licensed premises,” Douglas Police boss Damian Meadows told Newsport.

“Clearly what some people think is a good time is not the same as the general public, if you can’t behave when having a drink, don’t drink.”

Meantime, Police confirmed a 21-year-old Palm Cove woman was intercepted around 8:30am a number of days ago on the Bruce Highway at Euramo.

Police will allege the woman was travelling at 147km/h in a 100km/h zone in a Mitsubishi Lancer.
