A popular local initiative created to foster community spirit within Mossman and to celebrate the upcoming Christmas festive period has returned.

The popular Nativity sheep trail kicked off a few days ago and will run until the end of the month.

Similar to last year children and families are encouraged to get an entry form and then make their way along the trail to identify the whereabouts and name of each small toy sheep.

Once the participant has located all sheep on the trail they can then drop their completed form into Bartolo’s Store in Sugarland Arcade.

The winner, who’ll be awarded a Christmas gift basket will be announced during Carols under the Raintrees on Sunday December 4, from 5.30pm.

“Come and support your local community and see if you can find all the sheep,” event coordinator Janelle Shrimpton said.
