Sheraton launches Sunday Sessions for locals

Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas is launching a new signature experience this Sunday to bring locals, visitors and guests together for a memorable sunset experience, with a difference. If you enjoy being outdoors during the twilight hours, you are going to love Sheraton Sunset Sessions.
Locals and visitors are invited to float in Sheraton’s sparkling blue lagoon pools, usually reserved only for resort guests, and chill out to DJ Bart playing classic Ibiza beats as they sip French Champagne and enjoy delicious Mediterranean food.
General Manager of Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Steve Molnar, said he was excited to launch a new monthly event where visitors and locals could come together to enjoy the resorts iconic lagoon pools that are usually reserved only for resort guests.
“We are excited to bring this unique event to Port Douglas where visitors and locals come together in a special location inside the resort usually exclusively available to guests in residence. Sheraton’s heart is, and always has been in community”, he said.
Director of Marketing, Deb McDiarmid, also added that she was looking forward to this new signature experience.
“Globally, our brand celebrates human connections and the communities where our hotels are located. We are hoping Sheraton Sunset Sessions will be embraced by locals and visitors alike, so we can all come together here in the tropical north and enjoy great food and drinks, served up with chill out music at this very special time of day.”
