Sharks to circle Yarrabah

Home contest

Fresh from a comprehensive win on the road the Sharks are expected to prove too strong for reigning premiers Yarrabah when the two sides clash tomorrow night in Mossman.
Just seven weeks ago Mossman stunned Yarrabah 72-12 at home in round one, scoring 13 tries to two in the process.
Since then Mossman has gone on to record four wins to sit third on the CDRL ladder while the Seahawks have won two and lost four and are currently placed seventh.
“We know Yarrabah are a dangerous side, they play that free flowing, open footy, so we are definitely not going into the game complacent,” Sharks player coach Joel Marama recently told Newsport.
“We played well in round one to beat them, but we know they have improved since then so again, we need to play for the whole 80 minutes.”
Port Douglas AFL this week
Meantime fresh from their recent bye Port Douglas face the Hawks at Cazalys tomorrow afternoon.
The bye came at the right time for the Crocs, who were a little battle weary after tough contests against the Lions, Saints and Bulldogs.
After cooling their heels for a week the Crocs will head into the must win clash as favourites.
Finally, in FNQ Rugby, the Raiders will look to put last week’s shock home loss to Penrhyn behind them when they clash with Brothers tomorrow at West Barlow.
The Raiders have shown some glimpses of impressive form but have lacked the consistency to beat other more fancied opponents.
