Survivor golf creating buzz amongst players

Survivor Golf
IT’S fun, fast and furious and it’s coming to a golf course near you.
Following its launch last year the buzz and interest in Survivor golf - a year old two man stableford event - has continued to grow.
A number of challenger events are set down throughout the year before the series culminates with its big final in Port Douglas.
“Survivor golf is a FNQ initiative specifically designed for amateur golfers,” event founder Dave Cameron explained.
“Participants play in a series of golf tournaments on a variety of golf courses culminating in a final to be held each year at the Sheraton Mirage.
“The aim of survivor golf is to make amateur golfers feel like professionals.
“The two-person ambrose style tournaments will give people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate and become passionate and involved in the exciting world of competitive golf.”
The new series is proving a hit off the course as well.
“Survivor golf has been a very popular event with tournaments being sold out,” Mr Cameron said.
“Interviewing some of our competitors and getting to know the people behind the scenes at these golf clubs has been a privilege.”
