Man charged with dangerous driving causing death

Police have now reported the driver of the motorcycle that crashed killing local woman Shanti Wren has been charged.
The pair were thrown from the bike after allegedly failing to navigate a corner on Barrier Street at 6:00pm yesterday evening.

The 31-year-old Port Douglas man has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while affected by an intoxicating substance, drink driving and unlicensed driving.
He was bailed and will appear in the Mossman Magistrates Court on March 23.
