Spring Creek Falls

Spring Creek Falls punches way above its weight in terms of beautiful waterfalls around the Far North. It’s not spoken about that much but believe me when I say it rivals others anywhere across Cairns and The Tablelands.

Be ready to creek walk, rock hop and navigate over big boulders on the way to the falls. This is truly a scenic and stunning 4km return hike.

Devils Thumb

Without doubt Devil’s Thumb is one of my favourite hikes not only around Port Douglas but in Queensland.
This world class hike has it all; amazing rainforest, views for days and a stunning fern patch that has you feeling like you’re on the set of Avatar.

But beware; this hike isn’t a walk in the park and is recommended for those who have an excellent fitness level.

Big Mowbray Falls

Everyone knows how impressive the Bump Track is. The track is a must for hikers and bikers alike. Along the trail pink tape marks the start of a short track that leads into dense rainforest and down to the top of the falls

Again, the views from atop of the falls looking into the gorge on a sunny day are just magic. A decent level of fitness is required to see the falls.

Hartleys Creek Falls

A perennial favourite for just about everyone around Port Douglas this little beauty is one for the whole family.

Sure, there is small elevation on the way but nothing that should prove too difficult for most people.
Hartley’s creek falls is a serene place to be. It can be tackled after work, on the weekend, or whenever the time calls for a mini adventure.
