Locals are gearing up for another spectacular version of Taste Port Douglas.

Preparations continue for the ever-popular Taste Port Douglas Food and Drink festival which will be held from August 11-14.

The event’s six edition will feature iconic chefs putting on cooking masterclasses and a range of activities to keep the most ardent foodie more than happy over the three days.

Chefs already locked in for the event include Jerry Mai (Pho Nom, Bia Hoi Melbourne), Ben Williamson (Anges, sAme sAme, Honto Brisbane), Colin Fassnidge (Kitchen Nightmares Sydney), Spencer Patrick (Harrisons Restaurant Port Douglas) and Manu Feildel (My Kitchen Rules Sydney), with more to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

“The last two years have been tough for the hospitality industry,” Taste Port Douglas event founder and culinary director Spencer Patrick explained.

“We’ve been starved of the opportunity to gather, feast and celebrate together.

“This years’ festival will be the fork in the road, with Australia’s hospitality elite coming together once again to create bespoke menus, share knowledge and skills amongst peers and guests and to soak up the festival atmosphere.”

Organisers have confirmed more than twenty main food and drink focussed events will be held throughout the event.

Other exciting aspects will include the seaside luncheon, a BBQ feast, a cocktail soiree and a premium chef hosted yacht event.
