Reef Club Port Douglas Body Corporate Chairperson Tony Di Giulio has tipped the hat to the tradies and workers behind the upgrades to the Reef Club.

A Port Douglas accommodation offering has a spring in its step and looks 10 years younger after undergoing a timely refurbishment.

The improvement works at Reef club Port Douglas started in early January and are expected to conclude in the coming weeks.

A number of other smaller jobs on site will also take place up until late next month.

Proving the old adage that many hands makes light work still rings true a plethora of Port Douglas businesses are behind the Reef Club’s recent upgrades.

“I believe the major renovation which includes the replacement of two roofs, (the)renovation of 20 apartments on the top level (and) repainting of the exterior/common area interior of the Port Douglas Reef Club is a real positive for the community,” Reef Club Port Douglas Body Corporate Chairperson Tony Di Giulio told Newsport.

“We engaged largely local builders and contractors from Port Douglas and surrounds.

“A large project like this is bound to have its hiccups, and it has, but the dedication and professionalism of our local builder, Handy Cam, has been nothing short of amazing when considering the challenges facing builders now.”
