Survivor golf chief Dave Cameron is all smiles after securing international singer Ronan Keating for its series’ grand finale in Port Douglas this December.

Survivor golf an event and movement created to fast-track increased national discussion about mental health awareness has scored its own eagle ahead of a huge grand finale later this year.

Just hours ago an event spokesperson confirmed Irish singing sensation Ronan Keating will attend the two man ambrose final in Port Douglas, where, as event ambassador he’ll take part in a range of activities during his time in the Far North.

“Ronan enjoys golf and is passionate about charity work so he was delighted that Survivor golf supported the Kick On Charity to fund mental health wellbeing projects,” Survivor golf chief Dave Cameron told Newsport.

“The 60 finalists get airline tickets to Cairns and accommodation at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas for the three-day event from December 2-4.

“One lucky team will get the opportunity to play golf with Ronan and his father-in-law with the proceeds from the raffle going to Kick On Charity.

“Ronan will perform and talk about his adventures in Tropical North Queensland at the gala dinner before playing in the final on Sunday and presenting the winners with their trophy.”

Interested participants continue to battle it out in qualifying events in order to secure a ticket to the big dance in Port.

More broadly Keating will also fulfill a number of promotional duties for Tourism Tropical North Queensland during his stay in the Far North.
