Little Misty needs helping hand

A little dog with a big heart needs a helping hand to get back on its feet after a distressing incident that united Douglas town goers going about their daily business.
Misty, who was unrestrained at the time got adventurous , however it didn’t end well for the small canine after being struck by a passing car.
As a result a number of kind local bystanders rushed into action to assist where they could.
The collision left the little dog with a badly damaged front left leg.
Following the incident, kind local, Rosie Wang established a gofundme page on behalf of the dog’s owner, a Cooktown fruit grower, to call on public assistance to help pay the immediate vet bills.
As it stands the page has already raised $1,393 of a designated goal of $3000.
One kind local gentleman contributed a staggering $500 to help Misty’s cause.
The little dog’s accident comes just weeks after Misty overcame a paralysis tick bite which nearly ended its life.
