Taste Port Douglas kicks off this Thursday and the options of yumminess and thirst quenchers are overflowing.
Running from the 11-14th of August Taste Port Douglas is delivering big with a host of events that will satisfy the senses and tantalise your tastebuds.
Adrian Richardson, Alastair McLeod, Colin Fassnidge, Dominique Rizzo, George Colambaris, Jerry Mai, Manu Feildel, Massimo Mele and Spencer Patrick – they are the ABC of culinary heavyweights, and they will lead the masters of the menu this week.
Sheraton Festival Village is once again the beating heart of Taste Port Douglas and as its core will once again come to life celebrating Port Douglas’s rich culinary culture and lifestyle.
Against a backdrop of Four Mile Beach to one side and resort lagoons on the other, guests will enjoy a day of live cooking demonstrations from some of Australian’s most respected chefs and culinary presenters, food and wine stalls, masterclasses, junior foodies activities, industry talks, pop- up bars by local distillers and brewers, live music and many more activities.

Sheraton Festival Village is a cashless event with stalls accepting payment via your personal tap-and-pay Taste Port Douglas wristband. Arrive ready to snack and sip your way through the day by pre-purchasing your festival pass and pre-loading it with festival credit. Wristband top-up stations are available throughout Sheraton Festival Village and all unused credit can be re-claimed for up to 30 days after the event.
Pre-purchase is required to guarantee entry and there are passes and packages on offer to make your experience unique.
Guests will have opportunities to meet and mingle with guest chefs while enjoying complimentary drinks from the lounge's private bar, as well as gourmet tastes by the Lounge's dedicated chef.

MIXERS, MAKERS, AND GROWERS
New to 2022, Mixers, Makers and Growers celebrates the producers and craftspeople of our industry. Mixers, Makers, and Growers can be found at the entrance of Sheraton Festival Village on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August from 12 noon to 5pm daily.
Local and Australian producers, growers, winemakers and merchants, distillers and craftspeople will converge to share their stories and wares. The space will be co-emceed by Alastair McLeod and Dominique Rizzo with discussions and pop-up demonstrations.
MOFFAT MAIN STAGE
Witness Australia's best chefs, live on the Moffat Main Stage, when we roll out non-stop live cooking demos across the weekend.
All demonstrations are free to watch but arrive early to secure a seat to watch your favourite chefs in action. Access included in your General Admission ticket to Sheraton Festival Village.

Conveniently located adjacent to the Moffat Main Stage, the Main Bar features all the festival favourite drinks in one spot, with a variety of seating to keep you close to the entertainment all day long
BAREFOOT BEACH BAR
A selection of pop-up bars featuring world renowned and much-loved local brands will line the sandy shores of the Sheraton's "Beach".
Access to this space is included in your General Admission ticket to Sheraton Festival Village. All beverages can be purchased via cashless system, no free tastings.
GOURMET LAWN FOOD STALLS
A daily changing feast of pop-up food stalls by some of our top guest talent as well as Port Douglas' favourite eateries will operate on the Gourmet Lawn over the two days of Festival Village.
On Saturday 13 August festival guests will enjoy food stalls featuring dishes curated by guest chefs Adam D’Sylva, Alastair McLeod, Dominique Rizzo, Jake Nicolson, Jerry Mai, Massimo Mele, & Raymond Capaldi as well as offerings by some local favourite eateries.
On Sunday 14 August these stalls will be flipped for the "Fat Mango BBQ" in a new event for the festival on day two the Sheraton Festival Village will see our Gourmet Lawn food stalls change identity into a BBQ festival like no other where celebrity and live fire chefs bring their flame game to Tropical North Queensland.
Guest chefs Aaron Ward, Ben Williamson, Bente Grysbaek Jake Nicholson, Jerry Mai, Massimo Mele + MC’s Colin Fassnidge & Anthony Puharich bring their flame game to Tropical North Queensland for a celebration of BBQ and BBQ themed menus.
This is but a peek into the menus on offer and the beverage offerings are also rich including eight pop up bars - Diablo Australia, Wolf Lane Distillery, Distil on the Hill, Narrow Tracks Distillery, Mt Uncle, Direct Road Agave, Coral Sea Brewery, Estrella Damm.
Café del Mar will be offering a Sunset Session this Saturday night from 6PM to take Taste Port Douglas to a whole new level, bringing its iconic Ibiza sunset brand for a night of trademark house music under the stars.
Performing on the pristine sands of the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Café del Mar Sydney’s DJ Jusjoe will deliver a night of the classiest house music sounds from deep to soulful, indie cool and nu-disco, synonymous with Ibiza’s sunset music scene. Driven far and wide by the feeling the music brings, DJ Jusjoe is renowned for his speaker-belting tunes that will keep revellers on their feet all night.
The ticketed event will also offer attendees a selection of pop-up bars under the stars to sip, roam and graze their way through the night. Delve into a culinary feast of roving canapes and food stations onsite. Highlights include local prawns, split bugs, and mussels; five spice chicken bao with slaw and hoisin; sugarcane prawn sticks with lemon myrtle sauce; and lamb tagine with couscous.
Drink options include pop-up bars by local and Queensland distillers and brewers, and a Taste Port Douglas bar stocked with a selection of wines and more.
Guest appearances by Melbourne-based electro violinist Darioviolin will be accompanied by fire twirling and LED shows by live performers, making it a visually spectacular night to remember.
The Festival Village and Café del Mar events are 100% cashless with guests able to check in at the gates with pre-purchased tickets and will be issued a wristband which they can be used to ‘tap and pay’ at each vendor / stall.
There are so many benefits to pre-purchasing tickets to events as it will give the opportunity also to add credit to their wristband account prior to arrival with all unused credit refundable up to thirty days post event.
