Port Douglas caffeine lovers are in for a treat with a newly opened business to offer an array of offerings expected to fulfill the needs of the most ardent coffee drinkers.

Nicha’s coffee at 2/48 Macrossan St is the brainchild of Victoria expats Rowan Milner and Nunnicha Toosamran, who after an earlier trip to Douglas, decided the beautiful Far North is where they wanted to be.

“We’ve moved to enjoy a better lifestyle and to fulfill our dreams to open and run a quality coffee shop,” Mr Milner told Newsport.

“Nicha managed one of Victoria’s busiest Jamaica Blue cafes for five years and makes extremely good coffee”.

Initially the owners have clear priorities for the business.

“We want to concentrate on delivering quality coffee with fast service, while being a venue that our customers can sit and enjoy their coffee or takeaway,” Mr Milner said.

“We believe coffee lovers will be impressed with our unique business.

“Most importantly we want to offer a simple relaxed environment so customers can enjoy a coffee and a chat with friends.”

Nicha’s coffee will initially open 6am-3pm, 7 days a week.

A range of cakes and cookies will also be available.

The new business officially opened for trade earlier this morning, July 21.

Nicha’s opened today and is ready for business.
