The best of the Bee Gees comes to Cairns

Live music
“I’ve never seen a more professional tribute to the Bee Gees with those beautiful harmonies which are so difficult to achieve. They have worked hard to reproduce the unique sound of my brothers. So tastefully done. Absolutely brilliant and I didn’t want to leave. If you’re a Bee Gees fan, this is the concert for you.” Lesley Evans (Gibb)
The Best of the Bee Gees Show brings original Bee Gees drummer Colin “Smiley” Petersen to the Cairns Performing Arts Centre, recounting first-hand stories behind a massive catalogue of mega-hits, on Saturday 12 March 2021 from 7.30pm.
Colin was the earliest non-Gibb band member and shares screen time in the latest Emmy nominated bio-pic, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart. He was essential to the Bee Gees sound, driving the evolution of the Super Group on stage and in the studio over five albums and #1 singles – Massachusetts, To Love Somebody, New York Mining Disaster, I Started A Joke and many more.
The Best of the Bee Gees Show has brought global audiences hustling to their feet for more than two decades and the lineup includes Evan Webster (Barry Gibb), Russell Davey (Robin Gibb) and Greg Wain (Maurice Gibb).
Colin says: “It’s wonderful that these incredible songs live on through this great show and I am thrilled to add another dimension by sharing my memories.”
It would be a Tragedy to miss this ultimate tribute celebrating an iconic set list of soaring, three-part harmonies and timeless classics –
Saturday Night Fever, How Deep Is Your Love, Stayin’ Alive, Grease, Jive Talkin’, Spicks & Specks, Words, To Love Somebody, Massachusetts, I Started a Joke, I’ve Got to Get a Message to You, Too Much Heaven, You Should Be Dancing and others.
Global chanteuse, Ros Loxton, is the special guest following her exceptional appearances in 2018 with the band and Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Toowoomba’s Best of the Bee Gee’s STARS In Concert, 2019’s Radiance of the Seas cruise and the recent Redcliffe Entertainment Centre sold out concert.
