First anniversary for Mossman Port Douglas Counselling Services

It is time to blow out the candles today for Mossman Port Douglas Counselling Services (MPDCS).
Jenny Bill, principal practitioner at MPDCS, said that they have grown and expanded their services in the last 12 months to meet the needs of the Shire and surrounds.
Our mission is to provide Professional Counselling Services to children, youth, adults, seniors, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds”, Ms Bill said.
“We offer assorted confidential, professional, quality, affordable services. We tailor to the needs of every person accessing our services, and we collaboratively work with external agencies when it is necessary or requested. We also currently offer a free Monthly Women’s Support Group.
“We recognise the courage it takes for many people to reach out for support and we pride ourselves on ensuring their first and subsequent experiences with MPDCS is respectful, authentic, kind, and genuine, in a safe environment.
“During 2021, a tough year for all of us, we supported many local groups and organisations by donating free counselling vouchers and providing sponsorship for their important annual fundraisers.
“With COVID-19, and the ever changing technologies of our times, we now also provide many of our services interstate and remotely using our telehealth service.
“Currently we remain in the position to be able to accept new referrals as we continue to grow our business, slowly and considerately.”
