Youth Orchestras Big Band at Hemingway’s Port Douglas

The award-winning Queensland Youth Orchestras Big Band invites you to come and hear all your favourite jazz and swing standards.

The QYO Big Band is part of the world-renowned Queensland Youth Orchestras music program. Every year, the state's most talented young and emerging instrumental musicians compete to be selected in the band, and the highly competitive process produces superb jazz and swing performances.

After the success of the 2021 Tour, the QYO Big Band are back by popular demand touring FNQ to share their amazing skills and love of music with locals and tourists alike.

Come hear the QYO perform on day 3 of their tour at Hemingway's Brewery Port Douglas.

MANUKA, Neil Junior & Tess Devine at Tanks Arts Centre

Expect live music to your heart’s desire this Friday at Tanks Arts Centre with these homegrown local lineup acts.

Dub reggae band, MANUKA is a master at getting people on the dance floor with their lush electronic sounds, fat bass, huge drums, sleek guitar, rich keys and powerful vocals.

Expect lyrics telling life stories and experiences through the tastes of soul, R’n’B and hip hop as Neil Junior blends simple guitar riffs with liquid love melodies, creating a soulful vibe that takes listeners on an elevating and warm journey.

And to top the night off, singer-songwriter Tess Devine will draw you into her engaging lyrics combined with finely crafted musical skills.

Roots, Rock & Reggae at the Port Douglas Yacht Club

A family friendly afternoon of Roots, Reggae, Rock & Folk music.

Ska, Ska and more Ska. The Raconteurs will deliver balmy summer night feels with ska as the wonderful backdrop.

With a love of all things funky and downright groovy The Raconteurs are a truly original and fun band.

For a blend of Indie-Rock you’re at the right address with Rob Howe. Groove away with catchy vocals and memorable melodies.

Pauly P is Australia’s premium One-ManBand and master looper, bringing lashings of sultry grooves, smokin’ vocals and swirling textures to his charismatic tunes.

And last but not least, enjoy the tunes of folk/roots rocker Tullara who won ‘Best EP’ at the 2017 'Australian Roots Music Awards'.

Lullaby of Broadway at CPAC Theatre

Sing along with all the hits and sensations of Broadway.

Through the scorching desert of “The Prince of Egypt” to the whistling cruise line of “Anything Goes” and bursting back through Frankenstein’s Place of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”.

Presented by the Julia Macalpine Dance Studio, enjoy dancing and singing performances of the 2022 Tribute Production “Lullaby of Broadway”.

Northlane at Tanks Arts Centre

If you’re up for a head-bangin’ night, make your way over to the Tanks this Sunday.

Northlane is a chart topping and two-time ARIA award winning progressive metal quartet from Sydney, Australia.

Composed of founding guitarists Jon Deiley and Josh Smith, drummer Nic Pettersen and vocalist/lyricist Marcus Bridge, their sound weds knotty, angular vamps to complex harmonic structures, jarring dynamics, distortion, and intricate lyrics.
