For some, getting up close and personal with a koala or kangaroo is an absolute dream come true and that’s exactly what you can experience during a private tour of the Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas.

One of the many bucket-list offerings at the park, the private two-hour personal tour inclusive of your own personal guide unlocks rare interactive experiences, exhibit enclosure access and souvenir photos.

Breakfast or lunch is also included depending on what time of day you take the tour.

The behind-the-scenes tour allows you unprecedented access to an abundance of interactive bird experiences, as well as opportunities to see kangaroos, cassowaries and barramundis being fed up close and personal in their natural habitat.

"The exclusive private tour gives our guests an opportunity to experience wildlife up close, and gives us at Wildlife Habitat a chance to take our message of observation, appreciation and conservation through education to the world," Wildlife Habitat assistant manager Sybella Salter explained.

“We want visitors to create memorable moments that they will have with them for a lifetime and this private tour does exactly that."

Another amazing perk is access to TARC – the Tropical Animal Rehabilitation Centre at the park, a separate area that’s off limits to the public. This non-profit facility cares for sick, injured, orphaned and displaced animals.

Here, private tour goers go behind the scenes of the facility to meet some of the above-described wildlife that call the centre home.

A lasting bonus is that your private guide is extremely knowledgeable and provides educational facts and information about everything you would want to know about the wildlife at the park.

So, what are you waiting for? Take the tour today.
