This announcement caused a gradual shift to augment PCR with RAT tests for close contacts.

Local heroes save Mossman couple in overnight flood drama - 11 January 2022
This story is a reminder to not take unnecessary risks by crossing floodwaters and it shows the determination of our local people to come to the rescue without hesitation.
Two people in their 80’s were saved in a remarkable rescue operation.
As the couple attempted to cross floodwaters in their four-wheel-drive they were swept off Euluma Creek Road.
A number of locals were able to safely rescue them before emergency services arrived.

Nippers get ready for new season - 12 January 2022
A great community story about an important initiative; preparing our local children for the ocean and training our future life savers.
The Nippers pool swim training initiative was born as there is currently no swim club training in Mossman.
